| Hi everybody glad to be activated and have a good read of your forum. Currently looking for our first DDB and seem to be spending every spare moment surfing the net taking in as much advice as possible. We're just about ready to start looking at pups so hopefully my 20 year wait is about to end! | |

| Hi there and welcome to the forum. good luck in your search for a pup- my advice would be to view at least 3 litters before you make your mind up on what you are looking for louisa x | |

| Thanks for the welcome, i'm based in South Shields Amanda.
I'm going to (hopefully!) look at a few litters in the next week or so Louisa and i fully intend to see at least 3,but we all know what happens when those puppy dog eyes look up at you!
I must admit that i have my eye on one but i have a feeling it will be a little over my budget so i'm awaiting a email reply before i get my hopes too high.
Being new to puppy buying(i've owned dogs before but i've never bought a puppy)i've slowly realised what a minefield it is.Any tips on what to avoid is always welcome!

| Thanks Debbie, believe me i've been doing some research!!
I've joined forums, read countless articles visited a couple of owners(without puppies just to get a feel without any pressure to buy a pup)and tbh all the Dogue owners i've contacted have been really helpful.I've been pleasantly suprised at how free people have been with their tips and advice and nobody has given me a hard sell!
Of course i've had one or two scammers but thanks to the advice i've recieved and reading a lot of articles about dodgy breeders i think i seen through them in less than a minute!
Got a reply to my email and the Dogue i had my eye on is bang on my budget, going visiting tomorrow(actually going to see a couple of litters).
I'm more excited than a 5year old on xmas eve!
